These training courses are provided by RNIB Cymru for professionals working with blind and partially sighted people, focusing on promoting independent living.
-
People's homes are often the most dangerous places for them, with sight loss often not recognised as a high risk.
-
Older people with sight problems are almost twice as likely to have a fall, and have 90 per cent higher odds of multiple falls.
-
78% of older people with severe sight loss live in poverty.
-
Three out of four people with sight loss never go out alone and almost half have no peer support.
Full course details can be found in the training brochure or on this webpage.
