Most people have heard of Agatha Christie, but who has heard of Dorothy L. Sayers?

Dorothy L. Sayers wrote crime fiction at about the same time as Agatha Christie, and enjoyed a similar amount of popularity.  Her books have been filmed on various occasions, most recently starring Ian Carmichael as Lord Peter Wimsey, the detective.  Lord Peter is most noticeable for his suave courtesy, his eccentricity, his ability to provide a literary quotation for ever occasion, and his willingness to investigae any crime, no matter how obscure.  In "Lord Peter Views the Body" we find him investigating murder, recovering diamond necklaces, tracing elusive inheritances and infiltrating criminal gangs.  His colourless, rather foolish appearance hides an acute brain and a kind heart.

Anyone who enjoys crime fiction will be hooked!
