For blind and partially sighted people, assistive technology enables individuals to take more control over their work participation in job roles from which they may otherwise have been excluded.

Following a work based assessment, the procurement of equipment and training can be a lengthy and sometimes complex process for employers. This can introduce unnecessary delays into the provision of reasonable adjustments in the workplace. One of the main causes of delay can be the procurement of equipment from a variety of different suppliers.

RNIB offers employers a full procurement service across the complete range of assistive technology equipment, software, and training for blind and partially sighted people in the workplace. Products which are not stocked by RNIB may still be purchased through RNIB as we have agreements with most access technology manufacturers and can source specific products to provide a one-stop-shop to companies employing blind and partially sighted people.
