Guide canes

A guide cane should always point to the floor and can be used in a diagonal position across the lower part of the body for protection, or to scan for kerbs and steps. The top of the cane should reach just above waist level when standing upright and the tip of the cane touching the ground. Guide canes are not to be used for supporting a person's body weight and should initially be purchased with the advice of a professional, such as a mobility officer or physiotherapist.

We offer a "special order" service for canes if you'd like a different colour, a different tip to standard or a different handle. Colours available in reflective 3M tape include: yellow, pink, white, blue, black, white and red, white and yellow, white with two red stripes, white and blue. Special orders cannot be returned unless faulty and take up to four weeks for delivery.
