teachers' notes in print.
Reading Together is designed to reinforce and complement Braille for Infants. It introduces the letters in much the same order, but even at the first level, each book tells a "proper" story.
When used in parallel with Braille for Infants the letters K and O need to be introduced earlier; K at Reading Together Level 1 and O at Level 2.
Levels 1 to 3 have a full text story on the left-hand page, with a simplified version of the same story on the right. The learner should be able to read the simplified text and can scan through the full text to look for familiar signs and words (indicated in bold print). Levels 4 and 5 are completely readable by the learner.
The teachers' notes are also available in braille for parents and teachers whose preferred format is braille. It is not necessary to order the braille version of the notes if the parent or teacher is a print reader. To order the teachers' notes in contracted braille (grade 2) (product code TC20917) please contact RNIB on 0303 123 9999.
Also available is the Reading Together extension pack (product code TC21096), which provides a further 10 stories.
