The stories in the Abi books feature the adventures of a six-year old blind girl. A print version of the text appears on facing pages to encourage paired reading, and enables parents and others to enjoy the books with the braille learner. Capitalised braille is used throughout.

The booklets have tactile pictures on the covers, and the humorous stories and experiences of the central character will appeal to the young reader.
Abi books 1 to 20 (the adventures of a young blind girl) can be used with the following reading courses: Take Off series 1 to 2; Read On series 1 to 2; Get Going.
The Abi books teachers' handbook is available in print (TC20553) and contracted braille (grade 2) (TC20554) and must be ordered separately.
