James is a poor orphan who lives with his two grotesque spinster aunts, one very fat and one very thin. When a giant peach grows in their back garden, James escapes inside it where he discovers some mysterious creatures. The peach rolls away from his unhappy home and James is released into an exciting new life of adventure.
