Ethnicity disability and work: Case studies

Product features
"Ethnicity, disability and work" is a report based on a three year study into how Black and minority ethnic people with sensory disabilities fare in the labour market. This report investigates the barriers to fair access to employment and the existence of institutional disabilism. The project reveals how these barriers affect individuals with sight and hearing loss from a number of different ethnic groups via face to face interviews with job seekers, employees and employers. Questioning the effectiveness of current anti-discrimination legislation in helping people at the intersection of two groups, the report makes hard hitting recommendations for change in policy and practice.
