There are two million people with sight problems in the UK – potential customers and employees for your business.
We provide local and national training, support and information to help make your services and products accessible to people with sight problems. We can also help you make the most of the skills and abilities of your employees and clients who are blind or partially sighted.
Training
- Visual awareness courses give you an understanding of sight loss and its impact.
- Our education courses help professionals support the learning and development of children and adults with sight problems
- We offer courses for companies and organisations including disability awareness, built environment, web and information sessions.
- We run employment related training to support employers to recruit, select and support individuals who are blind or partially sighted.
- Our health and social care training courses provide development opportunities for professionals working in this sector.
- The Eye Clinic Support Studies Course is a professionally accredited course leading to a qualification aimed at staff working in eye care, social and voluntary sectors.
- Leisure industry training helps improve facilities and services and supports blind and partially sighted people's access to them.
- We offer training for professionals about using technology with individuals with sight loss.
- We include training and ongoing technical support for the range of access technology products we supply to our customers.
Consultancy
- Our work on website accessibility includes a range of services to help organisations ensure their websites are accessible.
