Employment in Wales

We support blind and partially sighted people of all ages across Wales to develop their employability skills and apply for work.

Employment support we offer

Our employment advisors also support those with deteriorating sight or vision loss who are employed to remain in work. We hold regular work clubs and information sessions.

We organise work placements for young people, and ensure that organisations an employers are trained and equipped to work with blind and partially sighted people.

Publications we offer

We have publications that offer advice to school leavers. For example, Bridging The Gap is a fully accessible transitions guide that outlines the support available in school, college, university, and work.

Our This Is Learning and Working in Wales is a publication for those considering employment, and employers thinking about recruiting and retaining blind and partially sighted staff. Find out more about these publications and download copies from Transition from education to employment.
