Recycle used stamps for RNIB
Summary: Donate your unwanted foreign and British stamps to RNIB.
Why not collect stamps at home or within your workplace for RNIB!
We can raise money from both British and overseas stamps. We can raise more money from overseas stamps. We also collect first day covers, presentation packs and albums.
Stamps are sorted by volunteers and then sold to dealers or collectors. They are mostly sold by weight, if we can identify any valuable stamps they can be sold for a higher price. As a general guideline RNIB can expect to receive 90p or £1 for a pound weight of stamps.
Do encourage your friends and family, at home and abroad, to save their stamps for RNIB. If you would like posters to promote the RNIB stamp recycling scheme, please contact rnibstamps@rnib.org.uk
Instructions
- Please leave approximately 1cm of envelope bordering each stamp. The rest of the envelope can be discarded (which will make it cheaper to send).
- Please separate the stamps into:
1) British
2) Overseas - The value of a stamp does not matter, so 1p stamps can be grouped together with £1 stamps.
- Collected stamps should be sent to:
RNIB Stamp Recycling
PO Box 185
BENFLEET
SS7 9BH
Your support for the stamp recycling scheme is very much appreciated.
To ensure the maximum amount of money is raised for blind and partially sighted people we are unfortunately unable to personally thank stamp donations. Similarly, we are unable to provide stamp collection boxes.
If you have any questions, please email rnibstamps@rnib.org.uk or contact our Fundraising Enquiry Line on 0845 345 0054.
