Summary: Help for NLB website users
If you were a regular user of the NLB website, you might be feeling a little bit disorientated with the library's move to the RNIB website.
The NLB website has been closed and most of its content has been moved across; we are adding new content all the time. Here are some links to the main resources from the old site:
- National Library Service homepage
- You can search the RNIB Library Catalogue which also includes books from other organisations.
- NLB catalogue - you might still find this catalogue useful, especially if you are searching for braille, giant print or music braille to borrow from the library
- Book lists - the book lists from the old NLB website are being updated, the latest versions can be found here
- Digital library services - information about the library’s digital services and a link to the services themselves
- International libraries for people with sight problems.
You can also find information about joining the library and how to get help with choosing books.
The RNIB website already had its own versions of some of the information from the NLB website, here are some key links:

Mary’s story – Mary joined a Telephone Book Club and meets new people over the phone who share her passion. "I live alone. I’ve always been quite active but suddenly I find that I’m not. Reading is my biggest pleasure, I’ve read all my life. The group is very good if you live alone. You get to know other people." Mary’s full story.
