We provide local and national training, support, information and a range of consultancy services to help make your services and products accessible to people with sight problems and other disabilities.

Disability awareness - an introduction to disabilities, their impact, legislation and improving services, information and environments for disabled customers and staff.

Education - a range of courses to help professionals support the learning and development of children and adults with sight problems.

Employment - open and bespoke courses to support employers to recruit, select and support individuals with sight problems.

Accessible environments, websites, information and products - a range of courses on buildings, streets, access consultancy, websites, customer information and products. Many of these courses cover the needs of all disabled people.

Health and social care - training and development opportunities for professionals working in the health and social care sector.

Eye Clinic Support Studies - professionally accredited course leading to a qualification aimed at staff working in the eye care, social and voluntary sectors.

Leisure - courses for sports, leisure, arts and tourism professionals.

Using technology - courses for professionals using technology with blind and partially sighted people.

Consultancy

Our consultancy services are delivered by our new Access Consultancy Services department which combines the talents of JMU Access Partnership, the Web Access Centre and other related services. The department aims to help create an inclusive society through improved access for all disabled people to physical environments, signage, websites, information and products.
