The UK Vision Strategy is a ground-breaking VISION2020 UK initiative, led by RNIB, to develop a unified plan for action on all issues relating to sight loss and eye health, across the four countries of the UK.

Over 650 organisations and individuals have played a role in developing the Strategy. This includes people with sight loss, users of eyecare services, eye health and social care professionals and statutory and voluntary organisations. The UK Governments have also given their support to the Strategy.

It is the first time that such a breadth of groups have come together to set the direction for eye health and sight loss services. Together we make a powerful force for change.

On the course, we learnt to accept that, yes, we were registered blind but it did not mean our life had ended. We learnt that it was a new beginning".
