Big Print - for all your weekly news, TV and radio

Summary: Introduction to Big Print, the UK's weekly large print newspaper, and TV and Radio guide.

What is Big Print?

Big Print is the only national weekly newspaper with accompanying TV and Radio guide supplement in large print – and it comes direct to your door in the post.

It’s ideal if you have difficulty reading newspapers and TV guides, or if you have a friend or relative who struggles with standard print. You can keep up-to-date with the latest news and make sure you don’t miss out on your favourite TV and radio programmes.

The Big Print story

Big Print was launched in the UK in 1992 to help people who find it difficult to read the print of conventional newspapers and who do not wish to use taped 'talking' newspapers. The news it contains is provided by the country's leading news agencies and then edited into pages by our own editorial team.

We have always had a close relationship with our readers and in response to customer feedback, we re-designed Big Print in June 2007.

The new features are:

  • an increase in the font size to 16-point as a minimum
  • an expanded radio guide section with more pages and each new programme clearly listed
  • the inclusion of BBC7
  • an improved TV guide section highlighting film genres such as comedy or thriller
  • a single section containing all the regional TV variations.
