Startaboard high contrast keyboard

The keys on this large print QWERTY-style computer keyboard are colour coded to highlight their different functions, making it easier for young children, new computer users and users with additional learning needs to understand the keyboard's layout.

The main keyboard casing is white and all of text is printed in white on keys with contrasting coloured backgrounds:

  • number keys 1 to zero, with commonly used punctuation symbols, are red with 28-point text
  • vowel keys are purple with 50-point lower case text
  • consonant keys are green with 50-point lower case text
  • secondary (less common) punctuation keys are orange with 18-point text
  • the function keys (Tab, Alt, Shift, Enter, etc) are blue with between 16 and 22-point text.

This keyboard connects to your computer using either the PS2 connection or a USB port.

System requirements

  • IBM PC or compatible running Windows 95/98/2000/XP/Vista
  • an available USB port.
