Picking your next book
For help with choosing books you can call us on 0845 762 6843 or 01733 375350 or email cservices@rnib.org.uk (some callers may find it cheaper to call a landline, so we have detailed both 08 prefixed numbers and landline equivalents where available).
We can help with all your book enquiries or we'll point you to an organisation that can. If we don't currently offer a book that you really want to read, let us know.
Help from the Reader Services team
For more in-depth advice about your choice of reading, you can call Reader Services on 01733 37 53 33 or email libraryinfo@rnib.org.uk.
Online catalogues
You can search the RNIB Library Catalogue which also includes books from other organisations. We also provide the Talking Book online catalogue which features Learning and Skills books too. Both catalogues allow you to build up a list, and send it to us via the web.
A guide on how to use the RNIB Library Catalogue is available.
Book lists and guides
- New Books is our bi-monthly update of all the latest book titles available for loan and sale from RNIB.
- Read On is our quarterly magazine featuring news about our services and information about books and reading.
- There are book lists to guide you through the various genres and subjects available from RNIB.

Mary’s story – Mary joined a Telephone Book Club and meets new people over the phone who share her passion. "I live alone. I’ve always been quite active but suddenly I find that I’m not. Reading is my biggest pleasure, I’ve read all my life. The group is very good if you live alone. You get to know other people." Mary’s full story.
