Iceland trek: 3 to 9 September 2007
Summary: Our team of fourteen trekkers completed the Iceland Trek on the 3-9 September 2007.
Iceland trek 2007

It was a very determined group who battled gale force winds and rain to cross rivers, explore canyons and trek over glaciers.
The group trekked through remote parts of Iceland surrounded by volcanic landscapes, glaciers, iceberg filled lagoons and spectacular waterfalls to complete this unique trek.
This great experience raised £30,000 for RNIB, enabling us to continue to provide the products and services that help blind and partially sighted people live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Jill's story - Jill lost her sight 12 years ago at the age of 19. “The experience left me feeling isolated. I often felt like my life was pointless." Now, as a presenter on Insight Radio, she uses her experiences to help others. “My prayer is that what we do helps those who are going through sight loss. Even the tiniest piece of information can make a huge difference. If my show can help do that, then my journey has not been in vain.” Jill's full story
