Description
Supernova is a sophisticated reader magnifier for accessing Windows applications for those with sight loss. It provides powerful and clear screen magnification, as well as advanced speech and braille facilities. Keyboard shortcuts (hotkeys) are used for complete mouse-free navigation and operation.
This workshop offers participants hands on experience of Supernova, focusing on some of the essential skills required to support Supernova users.
You will use Supernova to work in Microsoft word and Internet Explorer using magnification and speech facilities, and will be able to take away a detailed practical course guide to refer to at your leisure.

Diane's story - Diane Clark, 47, was diagnosed with diabetes in her teens and with diabetic retinopathy when she was 25. She received regular treatment and eye tests. “I missed one appointment. This resulted in me losing more of my sight than I would have done if I'd have gone. If you have diabetes then you simply can’t afford to miss having a regular eye test.” Open Your Eyes campaign
