Try viewing your pages with these different options in effect. They can all be undone simply by reversing the instructions below.

Testing with "Preferences"

Many accessibility checkpoints can be tested from the "Preferences" dialogue box. This is opened through selecting "Edit" and then "Preferences".

Accessibility issues that can be checked are:

• Appearance – here the font sizes can be tested to see if they are adjustable as well as colours.
• Privacy and security – here you can switch off images to see if "alt" text has been provided.
• Advanced – by clicking on advanced you can disable options for Java and JavaScript

Testing images

By right clicking on a page there is an option to select "Page info". This allows you to view information about "Security", "Forms" and "Images" on the page. The images selection also lists the "alt" text however one thing to note is that null "alt" text (alt=" ") is not picked up and must be tested manually.
