How can I contact the press office?

The RNIB Press Office is open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. Please call us on 020 7391 2223. We are also available to help at any other time outside of office hours, please call our out of hours mobile on: 07968 482 812 or fax us on: 020 7391 2221.

Where can I find out about eye conditions and their effects?

The most common causes of sight loss include age-related macular degeneration (AMD), cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

Could I work as a volunteer or undertake work experience in the RNIB Press Office?

Unfortunately, we currently do not have the space or facilities to offer voluntary work or work experience in the Press Office. Any opportunities that do arise will be posted on this site. If you are interested in volunteering for other areas of RNIB, please have a look at our volunteering information.

June's story - June Croft was told she had glaucoma after having an eye test. She was given drops to prevent further deterioration and later had an operation. 'Having an eye test is the most important thing you can do. It stopped me from going blind. People don't realise how quickly something can go wrong with their eyes. It doesn't hurt, everyone should do it.' June's full story.
