Courses in Peterborough

  • Creating accessible Word and Excel documents - a very practical course that will help you gain the essential knowledge and key skills to produce accessible documents in MS Word and MS Excel, based on RNIB accessibility guidelines. Next date to be confirmed.

  • Using ZoomText: gain information and guidance on how to install and operate the ZoomText application and how to support users. Next date: to be confirmed.
  • An Introduction to accessible ICT - providing an overview to the way in which computers can be used without a mouse, and providing a session on Visual Awareness. Next date: to be confirmed.
  • Using Supernova: supporting users of Supernova - practical advice and guidance on how to support learners and users who use the Supernova access software. Next date: to be confirmed.
  • Using JAWS: supporting users of JAWS - practical advice and guidance on how to support learners and users who use the JAWS screen reader. Next date: to be confirmed.
  • Web accessibility and email - providing advice and guidance on how to navigate web pages and email programmes using accessible software and hardware. Next date: to be confirmed.

Training schemes

BCAB Trainer Certification Scheme

Find out about the BCAB Trainer Certification Scheme, enabling access technology trainers to work towards a qualification. BTCS provides a professional qualification for access technology trainers in the UK.
