Women talking with coffee

Would you like the opportunity to discuss issues relating to teaching children and young people with vision impairment?

Join the VI Forum, a UK-based discussion group hosted by the Department for Education and supported by RNIB, for anyone supporting the education of a learner with vision impairment.

The group is made up of nearly 2,000 professionals and parents. You can ask colleagues for practical ideas and for approaches they’ve found useful in situations similar to yours. You can post and receive quick answers to your questions, and learn from what your colleagues share.

You might want to ask about equipment, learning resources, teaching strategies or other’s opinions.

In the last few weeks, the VI Forum has covered:

  • sloping writing desks
  • tactile diagrams
  • finding accessible scientific calculators
  • past papers in alternative formats
  • how to get hold of textbooks
  • braille music and much more
  • magnification solutions for learners.
