Being diagnosed with a sight condition can have a big impact on you. Our free, informal, community-based Living with Sight Loss courses are an ideal way to help you adjust to your sight condition, increase your independence and grow your confidence.
Through our sessions, you'll find out about practical solutions and support that can help you adjust to life with sight loss. You'll also have the chance to learn from each other's personal experiences and share your top tips.
Living with Sight Loss courses are for adults of all ages, including friends, family members or anyone close to you. Each course includes information and advice on a range of topics including:
Understanding welfare rights
Tips and gadgets for everyday living
Using assistive technology – including tablets and phones
Leisure, hobbies and interests
Signposting to other organisations and services
Everybody looked a bit nervous as well but we soon got to know each other and then went on to learn lots of ways of how to cope with sight loss and it's definitely the best thing I've ever done.
