  • A Farewell to Arms with audio description

    This week the British Film Institute (BFI) releases a digital restoration of 'A Farewell to Arms' on the DVD and Blu-ray to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I. The DVD/ Blu-ray features the audio description track.

    The film is based on the 1929 best-selling novel by Ernest Hemingway, Frank Borzage's 1932 Oscar-winning film adaptation of the tragic Great War romance.

    Running as part of Sheffield's Festival of the Mind, 'The Tactile Image' is a photography exhibition based on the work of Clive Egginton and friends.

    Inspired by recent experiences, Clive hopes to explore the way in which we 'view' images. Each photo in the exhibition has a tactile equivalent which allows visitors to 'feel' the images and experience photography in a new and accessible way.
