We have Disabled Students Allowance Quality Assurance Group (DSA-QAG) registered centres in London and Surrey (Epsom). The centres offer assessments and demonstrations of special equipment to all students and prospective students who qualify for the DSAs, whatever their disability.
If you are disabled and a student, or applying to study, you may be able to receive a Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs). This is a grant towards the cost of special equipment and other support you need for your course.
When you have successfully applied for a DSAs, you will need to arrange to have a needs assessment, which will identify your study needs.
We assess your needs for the course you're taking, and can train you in using specialist equipment once the funding bodies have permitted you to have it.
We work in partnership with other organisations, so we can carry out a needs assessment whatever your disability – it doesn't have to be a sight problem.
Our London and Surrey (Epsom) Assessment Centres are open for assessments and to take bookings from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Assessment appointments take place within 10 working days of booking and students should receive a copy of their report within 10 working days following the assessment.
The DSA assessment is tailored specifically to each student and looks at your course needs and any support (IT, mentoring, training) required to successfully complete your education. DSA covers the cost of both the assessment (£720) and report completed post assessment.
