"The college has helped me find myself and given me a new life!"

RNIB College Loughborough are experts at supporting people with sight loss and over the last 20 years they've helped many blind and partially sighted people, like Andrew.

When he first arrived, Andrew was really shy. Today he's started a work placement in marketing at RNIB College Loughborough and picked up vital computer and office skills to improve his career prospects. “I've learnt so much;" he says. "I've loved studying and have been able to try lots of new things. The college has helped me find myself and given me a new life!”

RNIB College Loughborough has helped Andrew and others like him to gain qualifications, develop independence and find employment thanks to your support. Your gifts make a truly life changing difference. Please help more people like Andrew and donate now.

Suzie was 31 when she woke up without any sight

Leaving a gift in your Will, a legacy, is a great way to continue supporting RNIB's work.  Your donations help us to be there for people affected by sight loss now. Your legacy will help us be there for them in the future.

Suzie was 31 and mum to a young baby when she woke up without any sight. See the impact leaving a legacy to RNIB could have. Suzie was able to receive the support she needed to carry on leading a fulfilling life. Watch Suzie Simon's powerful account of her experience below.

RNIB telephone befriending service

Talk and Support is a telephone befriending service that brings together people with sight loss from across the UK. It offers the opportunity to discuss various topics with like-minded individuals helping to make sure that they don’t become lonely and isolated.
Ken, 82, suffers from glaucoma and was registered blind in 2008. His sight loss can make him feel very isolated, but he knows he is not alone and finds company and conversation through Talk and Support.
The service brightens my day and takes away the loneliness
After really enjoying RNIB’s Talking Books, he joined one of our Talk and Support telephone book clubs. He says, “The service brightens my day and takes away the loneliness.” It is only because of support from people like you that we are able to continue to improve the lives of people like Ken. Sadly, we still can’t reach everyone that needs us but with the help of our fantastic supporters we intend to remedy that.
