We are deeply disappointed at this news, but we appreciate these decisions have not been taken lightly by the event organisers, and they were made to protect the wellbeing and safety of all participants and spectators, as well as the general public.
We are working hard to understand and plan for what this means for our amazing Team RNIB supporters. We really appreciate your patience as we manage such an unprecedented situation and prepare next steps, please be assured we will be in touch with you very soon.
We know what a huge commitment it is to train and fundraise for these events. We also know the incredible efforts our amazing supporters make to raise funds for RNIB, so that together we can break down the barriers facing blind and partially sighted people.
We know this might be a difficult and stressful time and we thank you so much for all the efforts you have made so far.
We are aware that many other high-profile fundraising events are due to take place in the coming months. We will be keeping in close contact with all event organisers, as well as reviewing our own internal plans for RNIB’s own events.
