Parent Pathways: Focus on Education is aimed at parents and carers of children and young people with vision impairment.
This session offers an introductory look at the education system for children with vision impairment up to around age 11. It explains some of the terminology, legislation, different professionals and types of support that may be available for a child with vision impairment in education. It is delivered by two of RNIB’s Family Support Officers. After the session you will be provided with signposting to further information and resources on this topic.
The course is open to parents/carers of children and young people aged 0 – approximately 11.
For information about our other ‘Focus on’ sessions which cover specific topics such as finances, play and education for secondary age children and above, visit www.rnib.org.uk/pathways or see our course calendar for additional dates.
