Follow the Pavement Code
We all need to use our streets, whether that’s getting to work, going to the shops, taking care of our health or seeing friends and family. But for blind and partially sighted people, lots of things make it harder to get around, from bins or bikes left on the pavement, to inaccessible street designs and more.
We can all play our part to make our streets more accessible and inclusive so everyone can use our streets independently. That’s why we created a handy Pavement Code to highlight the simple everyday things we can all do to keep our streets clutter free and safer for everyone.
The Pavement Code
The Pavement Code is a fun, illustrated leaflet, with some tips on how to reduce street clutter in your community.
We have also included a short guide on how to offer assistance to a blind or partially sighted person.
