The Royal College of Nursing Annual Congress

Seeing Beyond the Eyes: CET Roadshow

14-15 May 2018 (launch), with further events throughout the year
Nationwide
 
This UK-wide roadshow comprises a series of free two-hour courses for optometrists and dispensing opticians on visual impairment and the best way to support and communicate effectively with people with sight loss. The roadshow is run by Visualise Training and Consultancy and Orbita Black, with support from Thomas Pocklington Trust.

England Vision Strategy National Conference 2018

Primary Care Ophthalmology Seminar

Topics this year will include updates on career development for GPs with a special interest in ophthalmology, patient-related outcome measures (PROMS) for primary care ophthalmology and NICE guidance for AMD, how to diagnose chronic conjunctivitis, the role of OCT in glaucoma management and visual disturbance in children.
