Having a sight loss condition can often be overlooked or misdiagnosed when the patient has dementia.

In this new leaflet produced by RNIB Scotland and Alzheimer Scotland, find out useful information that will help you to recognise the differences between a sight condition and dementia.

The leaflet is written for people with dementia but you may find this leaflet helpful if you're caring for someone with dementia.

As well as learning more about sight loss and dementia, you'll find a handy checklist on identifying sight loss and other information that will help you, or your patient, to make the most of their sight.

Please note: eye tests in Scotland are free. If you live in England, Northern Ireland or Wales please check with your local optician for costs.
