Campaigner of the Year, sponsored by Mastercard

This award recognises individuals who have shown great commitment and courage in campaigning to improve the world for blind and partially sighted people. The successful nominee would have campaigned on an issue(s) to make the world or their community a better place for inclusion of people with sight loss. They will be able to demonstrate how their efforts have positively impacted blind and partially sighted people in the UK.

Community Contributor of the Year, sponsored by Santen

This award recognises unsung heroes of the sight loss community. The nominee may have had a life changing impact on the nominator, another individual, or their local community. They are someone who consistently dedicates themselves to improving opportunities of people with sight loss and has achieved incredible results through their work. The successful nominee will be an inspiring individual who strives to raise awareness of issues around sight loss, break down the barriers people face or goes above and beyond to empower and support people with sight loss.

Best Social Media Impact of the Year, sponsored by Pantene

This award recognises someone who has used social media to break down the barriers faced by blind and partially sighted people or to galvanise support for a social issue. The winner of the award will have created strong, inspiring content that generates community involvement and discussion. The Best Social Media Impact of the Year nominee will have had success in raising awareness and influencing social change making a positive impact.

Team of the Year

This award seeks to recognise a team that has made a significant contribution to improving the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted. These could be professionals from eye health and sight loss sectors, sports teams, support teams, or groups who carry out community and charity work together. Nominated teams should demonstrate excellent teamwork, direction, leadership, collaboration, and achievement.

Employer of the Year, sponsored by Thomas Pocklington Trust

The Employer of the year award will recognise an organisation which has committed to providing an accessible and inclusive workforce for blind and partially sighted employees. From making significant efforts to ensure their hiring process is fully accessible, supporting any new or existing workers with sight loss, to raising awareness of sight loss amongst their sighted employees. Whatever the specific action they have taken, the winner of this award will have demonstrated that they have instilled clear values as an inclusive employer.

Volunteer of the Year, sponsored by Bayer

The Volunteer of the year award recognises individuals who have dedicated their time, skills and energy within their community or organisation to support with skills and knowledge sharing or improve health and wellbeing of blind and partially sighted people. Many people within the sight loss community and the organisations that support them rely on the dedication and commitment made by volunteers. The successful nominee will be someone who has tirelessly and selflessly given their time for free to support a blind or partially sighted person or group within the sight loss community whose efforts enable people with sight loss to live the life they want to lead. The winner of this award will have demonstrated the impact of their actions for the sight loss community

Design for Everyone Award, sponsored by Kellogg's

This award recognises an individual or organisation that has understood the everyday challenges faced by blind and partially sighted people and has addressed these by showing their commitment to accessible and inclusive design. Nominees will have demonstrated a commitment to continuous development in accessible design, creative use of technology to improve accessibility or simple solutions into everyday experiences that make life easier for blind and partially sighted people.
