Pat's Story

Together, we can answer the call

"I honestly don't know what I'd have done without the Helpline" - Pat Mulqueen-Wood

When Pat started to lose her sight, one phone call changed her life.

Pat was diagnosed with a brain tumour on Christmas Eve a few years ago. After an operation to remove the tumour, her sight loss deteriorated.

Her future was put on hold as her eye sight worsened and the fear of losing her independence and not being able to see her grandchildren set in.

That’s when she got in touch with the RNIB Helpline.
