An exciting opportunity have arisen for two Production Assistants to join our small, yet busy production team in Gateshead to work within either our Transcription or Despatch department. These are full time permanent contracts.
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, your role will be to carry out a variety of duties within the team in order to support production. This will involve producing documents in accessible formats or packing accessible formats as per client demands. Our clients can range from banks to telecommunication and utility companies.
Main Responsibilities will include:
•Follow work instructions to collate customer information
•Cross check customer orders against batch headers to ensure correct customer specifications
•Produce accessible format information in large print, braille and audio
•Carry out Quality Control checks to identify any errors/discrepancies
•Collate relevant information and complete work logs
•Complete Packing documentation when using production machinery
•Ensure work area is kept organised
•Maintain stock levels
Skills & Experience we are looking for:
•Previous experience working in an admin or despatch environment or equivalent
•To have strong organisational skills
•In Transcription particularly to have strong IT skills
•To have the ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands
•To be able to prioritise tasks
•High attention to detail
•Flexibility to work additional hours as and when required
•Desire to work in other areas of the business
•Experience handling sensitive/confidential information
