At RNIB Pears Centre, we offer individually-tailored education, care and therapies to children and young people with multiple disabilities and complex health needs who are blind or partially sighted, from pre-school up to the age of 19. Our specialist school and centre is based in Coventry, North Warwickshire.
Building on over fifty years' experience, we offer a stimulating and supportive purpose-built environment for children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential for learning, independence and fulfilment. Our range of services includes:
Meet Hardeep and his 9 year old son Eshan in RNIB's new film introducing its specialist schools and residences for children and young people with vision impairment, complex needs and additional disabilities.
Hear Hardeep's own experience about how RNIB's education, care and therapies have helped his son who attended RNIB Sunshine House in North London and is now living and learning at RNIB Pears Centre in Coventry.
We used to be known as RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home. Our name changed to RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning in 2011 as part of a major redevelopment and in recognition of the exceptional support of Pears Foundation. Our redevelopment is one of RNIB’s most ambitious projects ever, creating our fully-accessible school, bungalows, gardens and outdoor play areas.
