Join Team RNIB to trek over 30km of beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline, from the magnificent views of St Govan’s Head to the picturesque town of Tenby. We guarantee this is an experience you won’t forget.
Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the sea as you hike across stunning steep limestone cliffs, volcanic headlands and sandstone bays on this undulating challenge.
We want everyone to join us for this challenge. If you are blind or partially sighted and require a guide, sign up with a friend or family member, or we can help find one. If you are sighted, we want you to use this experience to support fellow trekkers and this may include guiding. This will be a team effort and we’ll work together to complete this epic challenge.
How does your fundraising help?
Every day, 250 people in the UK start losing their sight and their lives will change completely. Too many people still face isolation and depression, unable to achieve their potential in a world that blocks their way.
But we won’t stop until every last psychological and physical barrier has gone for good – from classrooms to workplaces, from local shops to far-flung holidays. Together with your support, we can smash through the barriers that stop people with sight loss thriving.
What to expect?
Day 1: Friday 30 August
Make your way to Tenby and arrive at the accommodation for an evening briefing from our expert trek leaders, plus the chance to meet the rest of your RNIB team mates.
Day 2: Saturday 31 August
Today is the day you take on the Pembrokeshire Coast! After a hearty breakfast we are transferred to St Govan’s Head, the most southerly point in Pembrokeshire and the perfect starting point for our adventure. Our trail snakes north-east between Stackpole Head and Trewent Point and along the limestone coastline back to Tenby. After completing our inspirational journey we head back to the hotel to freshen up before our celebration meal in the evening.
Day 3: Sunday 1 September
We have a final breakfast together and then you make your way home, with an epic sense of achievement and lots of new friends in your address book.
