We are looking for enthusiastic people to act as our ambassadors in your local community. Speak about your personal experience with sight loss or, if sighted, partner with sight impaired fellow ambassadors to:

• Deliver talks/workshops on the main causes and effects of sight loss
• Provide information on eye health promotion
• Provide information on the services RNIB and partner agencies offer.

What you will be doing?

Build local links, Attend local and regional events, Keep abreast of local issues/challenges
Speaking at schools/colleges, community groups, health and social care groups, and business networking events, community health fairs, health and social care conferences, and Eye Clinics.

What skills and experience are needed?

  • Good communication skills
  • An understanding of issues affecting blind / partially sighted people
  • Delegation, facilitation & influencing
