Leading RNIB - The search for our next Chief Executive

A world without barriers for people with sight loss

Imagine a world where blind and partially-sighted people say: “I can lead the life I want to lead.” This is RNIB’s vision. To stand alongside blind and partially sighted people to create a world where there are no barriers for people with sight loss.

The world has changed beyond recognition since we started our work 150 years ago but for blind and partially sighted people, too much has stayed the same. Unacceptable inequalities: difficulties accessing treatment and services, a lack of emotional and practical support and widespread challenges getting into work are all too common – to name a few.

Today, RNIB is in a better position than ever to realise our ambitions and tackle these systemic inequalities. We have a bold strategy, a talented and motivated senior leadership team and an exciting new brand to reach, connect and deliver powerful change across society.

RNIB Chair, Ellie Southwood
We are looking for an outstanding Chief Executive to lead the transformation of our ambition into reality.

We're currently working alongside the diverse Connect Community of more than 60,000 people living with sight loss and directly supporting over 100,000 customers. As Chief Executive you will play a crucial role in leading the organisation to become a greater agent for real social change, inspiring people with sight loss to transform their own personal experience, their community and ultimately society.

We are looking for a strategic leader who shares our passion and belief; someone able to inspire and lead the organisation with credibility and conviction through this challenging but hugely exciting next chapter for RNIB.

If you’re inspired by this opportunity and would like to be part of our story, we’d love to hear from you.
