Kirsty explains why she now feels she is part of society and taken seriously.
I joined RNIB through the Trainee Scheme. I feel like I’m part of society now and am taken seriously. The Trainee Scheme taught me so many skills, that help me throughout my professional and personal life. I like working at RNIB and that is why I have stayed and applied for jobs within the organisation. I was a Digital Skills Officer working with the Online Today team and now I’m Campaigns Officer. Both the Trainee Scheme and these roles have given me so much confidence. I’m grateful to have been given these experiences. I have definitely grown as a person since being involved with RNIB.
Working for RNIB means making a difference to people's lives
