"I lost my sight overnight while on holiday in Zante, Greece, after suffering from methanol poisoning.

"As it happened so suddenly, I had no idea where to start or what my life was going to be like. I assumed I would have to quit my job as a doctor’s receptionist. Thankfully, I got in touch with RNIB, and the first thing they told me was to not quit. They assisted me with going back to work, and helped me complete a work place assessment. This helped me understand what equipment I would need to continue working. They even helped me complete the forms and came to my work to teach me how to use the accessible equipment I would now need. Without them, I would definitely have left my job. I’m so grateful and can’t thank them enough! "
