"I first came into contact with RNIB about eight years ago when I started to lose my sight. They have been an integral part of my life ever since.

"The organisation has helped me build up my confidence and self-esteem, both of which had been seriously damaged after I was diagnosed with glaucoma. I decided I wanted to give something back after the support I received from them, and began volunteering for RNIB. This led to several positions within RNIB, from training people on using technology, to working as an ECLO  and helping patients with sight loss in hospitals. It feels great to help people who are in a similar position to me. As if I wasn’t involved with RNIB enough, I also did a sponsored skydive for their Talking Books Service, raising £2,500! I am proud to be part of RNIB and will endeavour to support them for years to come."
