Jackie Brown talks about her favourite book from the RNIB library

Thunderdog’ by Michael Hinson is by far my favourite book from the RNIB Library. It tells the story of a guide dog getting his owner down the 3,483 steps from the 73rd floor of the Twin Towers on 9/11. I know that if I’m feeling a bit down, or just need that bit of extra inspiration, it’s time to order ‘Thunderdog’ again. It gets my spirits up, and my brain working on new ideas for projects and plans. It’s this book, and many other titles like it on RNIB’s Library, that has inspired me to raise money for Talking Books. They are an absolutely brilliant resource and something I am proud to fundraise for. If you haven’t already, check out the thousands of titles available through the Talking Books library. And if you’re looking for something to get you started, you can’t go wrong with ‘Thunderdog’.
