"I was part of RNIB NI’s Realise project, which supports children and young people between eight and 20 with sight loss in Northern Ireland.
"One of the main things that stays with me from all my experiences and adventures with this great bunch of people is that I’m not the only one. Even though I have a twin sister with the same eye condition as me, it was so comforting and encouraging to see other people looking at things up close or not seeing things and making blind jokes with no shame. I also got the chance to host an event with my twin which was amazing. As well as that we’ve been a part of the “Craic On” podcast. Everyone was so encouraging and supportive of our aspirations to be performers/actresses. My experiences with RNIB have been incredible. If you haven’t been involved with the many projects they do, then go for it!"
Tune in to the Craic On podcast to hear a rich mix of local voices and local stories of local people affected by sight loss.
