Ed’s a very special little boy who’s at the heart of RNIB’s Christmas appeal this year.
Last year, a brain tumour caused Ed to lose his sight. But with the love of his family, and having received the right support, he’s now a happy and confident boy. Knowing that RNIB will be there to support Ed as he grows up means everything to his family – they know he’ll be able to fulfil his potential.
His mum Vikki says, "Having RNIB in our lives has provided a safe, comfortable environment where we can go to professionals who know what they’re talking about."
Ed and Vikki would love you to hear their heartfelt thank you to all RNIB’s supporters this Christmas.
A special Christmas is just the beginning for Ed
This year, Ed has used his new braille skills to write to Santa – and thanks to RNIB supporters, he will receive a letter from Santa… also in braille! As well as helping to make Christmas magical for visually impaired children, your support means we can be there for people far beyond the festive season.
With your support, RNIB Sight Loss Advisers can help people like Ed get the services they might need to overcome the challenges ahead.
See the magic happen
All Ed wants for Christmas is one of Rudolph’s bells. For him, the tinkling of bells is the sound of Christmas. Discover if he gets his special wish in this enchanting animation.
