Recycle with RNIB

An environmentally friendly way to raise funds for RNIB

Over the last seven years, an amazing £385,000 has been raised from ink cartridge and mobile phone recycling - a figure that would not be achievable without RNIB supporters everywhere. Thank you.

Every time you donate a used printer cartridge we receive up to £4.50 to help fund our vital work. We will also receive up to £30 for every mobile phone that is successfully recycled.

Be green and recycle for RNIB!

It's a simple way to raise funds for the RNIB’s work supporting blind and partially sighted people, while also helping to protect the environment, and it couldn’t be easier to get involved. Taking part in the scheme comes at no cost to you as all materials are provided free of charge.

You can request freepost RNIB envelopes or arrange for a free collection by simply:

We do box collections too

If you have a large number of items to recycle for the RNIB, The Recycling Factory can provide you with a collection box, or a label to attach to your own packaging. If you are recycling in smaller quantities, The Recycling Factory can provide you with an RNIB freepost label to send the goods back free of charge!

When you are ready for a collection call The Recycling Factory on 0800 091 0696 and they will do the rest. Collections can usually be arranged within 48 hours of receipt of your request. Please note that all cartridges, phones and gadgets should be packed suitably so that they don't get damaged.

If you're recycling mobile phones, please remove any SIM cards from handsets before returning them (any SIM cards received will be securely destroyed).

What we can't recycle

Unfortunately we can't recycle everything. Please don't include toner bottles, ribbon cartridges and compatible or re-filled cartridges as we are unable to recycle these.

Right now we can only reach one in three of the people who need our help most. Please make a donation and help us support more blind and partially sighted people.
