Run for RNIB

There are hundreds of running events in the UK, from 5k fun runs to full marathons. If you hold your own place in a running event you can join Team RNIB and make a huge difference to those affected by sight loss. Find out more about using your place to run for RNIB.

Runners forum

Our new Team RNIB forum is for members of the team to talk online. Simply log on and post messages to other people preparing for the same event. You can share tips, exchange updates to your progress, or just give each other encouragement!

Running guides wanted

Become a running guide for a blind or partially sighted runner. It will give you that extra challenge, and make your running achievement something that helps a blind or partially sighted runner with theirs.

Far-flung adventures

Spend a week walking along the Great Wall of China, trekking the Inca Trail, climbing Kilimanjaro or cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia. If you want to raise money through an exotic adventure then we can help.

We have a number of overseas events throughout the year. Read more about our far-flung adventures or contact us and we'll help find the right one for you.

Parachuting

Parachute in tandem, on your own or with accelerated freefall. Why not jump out of an aeroplane for RNIB? Read more about parachute jumping. Pick the one for you and jump to it!

Build your own challenge

If you want to do your own thing, please email fundraising@rnib.org.uk and let us know. We'll help you with materials and talk you through any of the legalities to make your ideas a success.

Your stories

Jill's story - Jill lost her sight 12 years ago at the age of 19. “The experience left me feeling isolated. I often felt like my life was pointless." Now, as a presenter on Insight Radio, she uses her experiences to help others. “My prayer is that what we do helps those who are going through sight loss. Even the tiniest piece of information can make a huge difference. If my show can help do that, then my journey has not been in vain.” Jill's full story
