If so, join Haggeye today! Haggeye is RNIB Scotland's award-winning youth forum that gives young people with sight loss a voice. Our members work together to help create a society where sight loss is not a barrier to living life to the full.

How Haggeye empowers young people

Haggeye provides a friendly and supportive environment which allows young people to raise awareness of what it's like to be blind or partially sighted in Scotland today and what's important to them. The forum enables its members to:

  • Campaign for change.
  • Influence the provision of services.
  • Meet new people and make new friends.
  • Discuss and share issues of concern with them.

Haggeye Meetings

Haggeye meetings take place fortnightly online and we have four in person meetings a year.

As a national group, we appreciate that no one location will suit everyone for the in person meetings. To help overcome this, we host each in person meeting in a different location each time. We will try to ensure that everyone wanting to attend the in person meetings gets a chance to do so.

For more information or to confirm your space call 07821 637 317 or email [email protected].

Haggeye Magazine

Our new online newsletter was launched in July 2023 and we are keen to spread the news of Haggeye far and wide. If you would like to learn more and receive quarterly updates through our e-newsletter, then please subscribe using the link below.

Haggeye and the Scottish Youth Parliament

Did you know that Scotland has its own youth parliament?

The Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) is the democratically-elected voice of Scotland's young people. Two SYP places are reserved to RNIB Scotland Haggeye members. SYP offers a platform where Haggeye members can raise issues that are important to them.

Young people aged 14-25 can stand as a candidate in SYP elections.
