Audio description in UK Cinemas: test screening with the Moviereading app

The objective was to try the Moviereading audio description app and share the experience of receiving AD in cinemas this way.

The overall feedback gathered following the screening was highly positive and most agreed that if such a service was made available in cinemas, they are likely to use it.

Next steps

Thanks to the 38 AD users who joined us on the day with their family and friends. Given the strong interest we have recommended a longer term pilot of the app to the UK Film Industry – Film Studios and the Cinema Exhibitors. We’ll be keeping an eye on the progress and hope to provide an update over the coming months.
