We need friendly, enthusiastic people like you to give our visitors and callers the best possible experience when they come to us for information, help, meetings, directions or general enquiries. You could also be guiding our visitors, staff or trustees with sight loss around the building or too and from Kings Cross.
RNIB GLOW Neon Fun Run is coming to the north east. On Friday October the 10th participants will run or walk the 3km course at the famous Gateshead International Stadium to raise money for RNIB. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us on the night.
Are you friendly, confident and creative? We need your help to assist with a range of activities at organised events for blind and partially sighted children and young people to have fun. You could be helping with variety of group or individual activities such as sports, music, crafts and visits to attractions.
You will help and support blind and partially sighted with additional disabilities with their personal support requirements. Activities may include taking part in clients’ education, going on outings, cookery and art. Enthusiasm and a positive contribution are needed.
Do you have creative flair, good writing skills and the confidence to promote events and activities in your local area that will raise awareness and funds to make a difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted children and adults?
You will help in the school kitchen, preparing simple meals, sandwiches, preparation of vegetables etc. Duties will include general kitchen duties i.e. washing up and possibly helping the Catering Manager. At times, you may be required to assist with the children at mealtimes.
Are you caring and friendly, with good communication skills? You could support our outreach group in Morley, to enable people with severe sight impairment or dual sensory loss to fully enjoy, participate and interact in the range of activities.
Do you have a keen eye for figures and the ability to oversee all the financial activities of a Fundraising Group? Your skills will help us plan and co-ordinate events and activities to raise awareness and funds that will enable us to continue to help and support blind and partially sighted children and adults.
